About last night, Chat with Cola

About last night’s chat with Cola — we dove deep into what it means to carry the weight, the importance of having a village for both adults and kids, learning how to ask for help, and finding ways to speak up when something’s wrong without making things worse.

This movie hit me hard emotionally, because every day I’m managing my health while also running on autopilot to take care of my squad — especially my youngest. A lot of people say they’ll help, but don’t follow through. Real support means stepping in without waiting for me to ask every single time. My mind is juggling a thousand things at once and forget about 💯. Self care is essential.

You ask: What can do differently so last straw aint the solution?

Queen: We can start by truly seeing her. Not just when she’s shining, but when she’s stretched thin, silently screaming, or holding everything together with barely a thread.

Queen: We can show up — really show up — not with empty words, but with actions. Don’t wait for her to ask for help. Check in. Step in. Drop off a meal. Watch the kids. Cover a task. Be the village we talk about but rarely build

Thanks Queen Nicole Greene.
